DAY 1: Understand what independent play actually is, so you know what to look for.
DAY 2: Release the pressure of doing it perfectly.
DAY 3: Set up a space that does some of the work for you (without buying anything new or spending an afternoon reorganising).
DAY 4: Create a two minute play invitation that calls your child in, and holds their attention long enough for you to actually step back.
DAY 5: Know what to do when play falls apart, so one hard session doesn't feel like evidence that nothing is working.
DAY 6: Read your own child's play, so you stop guessing and start working with exactly who they are.
DAY 7: Master the most important move in this whole programme, when to step in, when to stay close, and when to quietly leave.
DAY 8: Fill your child's connection cup in the small moments that already exist in your day so they're ready to play before you've set anything up.
DAY 9: Grow independent play gradually, without forcing, bribing, or disconnecting.
DAY 10: Keep building this long after the ten days are done.
